Mutable Map
Earth from a cosmic angle.
Corrugated cardboard, papier mache, collage and acryllics. 6' x 4'
Created for a multicultural community setting, based on a map designed by Buckminster Fuller, the inventor of the geodesic dome.
The Mutable Map, which gives a more accurate view of the earth than other maps, can be hung on the wall, laid flat on the floor or folded into a free standing icosohedron.
Similar maps are available in several sizes with accessories that include:
- transfers and stickers
- banners and flags
- boats
- sea monsters
- compasses, etc.
